1. Who these terms bind
These terms form an agreement between you, the reader, and Cyprus Pulse , publisher of cypruspulse.org, based in Nicosia, Cyprus. They apply to every visit to the site, whether or not you subscribe to the newsletter or contact us. If you do not accept them, the remedy is simple and free: do not use the site.
2. What the site is, and is not
Cyprus Pulse publishes journalism: news explainers, guides, analysis and opinion about Cyprus. Everything on the site is general information addressed to a general audience. Nothing on this site constitutes professional advice of any kind: not legal advice, not tax or accounting advice, not financial or investment advice, not medical advice, and not immigration advice. Our articles describe how systems generally work at the time of writing; they cannot know your circumstances, and rules change. Before acting on anything you read here, whether signing a contract, structuring your taxes, buying property, making investments or anything else with consequences, consult a professional licensed in the relevant field, or the competent public authority. Decisions made in reliance on our content are your own.
3. Accuracy and currency of content
We work hard to be accurate, and our corrections policy describes what happens when we fail. Even so, we cannot warrant that every article is complete, current or error-free at the moment you read it. Figures such as tax rates, fees and thresholds are especially prone to change; where they matter, verify them against the official source before relying on them. Content is provided "as is" and "as available".
4. Copyright and permitted use
All original content on this site, text, headlines, design and code, is the copyright of Cyprus Pulse unless otherwise credited. Photography is used under the licence terms of its sources, principally Unsplash, and remains subject to those sources' terms. You are welcome to: read, share links to any page, quote short excerpts with attribution and a link, and print pages for personal use. You may not, without written permission: republish whole articles, scrape or systematically copy the site, use our content to train a commercial product that substitutes for the site, or present our work as your own. 5. External links
Our articles link to external websites, official portals, regulators, data sources and others, because pointing to primary sources is part of doing journalism honestly. We choose links carefully at the time of publication, but we do not control external sites, do not endorse everything they contain, and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy or availability. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the site, which, the site being free, is zero.

Subscribing to The Pulse Briefing creates a simple relationship: we send the newsletter, you can leave with one click, and our Privacy Policy governs the data involved. Messages sent through the contact form or by email may be edited for length and clarity if published as letters, and only with your permission.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site and the law evolve. The date at the top reflects the current version, material changes will be flagged on the site, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from use of the site, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of the Republic of Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections you may enjoy in your own EU member state. If any provision of these terms is found invalid, the remainder continues in force.
